Austin Mobile Drug Testing does it all for YOU!
On-site testing will ensure the safety of your employees without burdening you financially. In the short run and the long run, workplace drug testing does not cost at all.. IT PAYS!
Time is money, and having to sit at a lab for hours could cost you a substantial amount of time and money. With Austin Mobile Drug Testing coming on-site to your facility the time is saved because your employee continues to work right up to the minute they are notified of their test. No lost wages YOU pay when they leave the jobsite for testing. They have zero exposure to sick people and zero waiting time for the collection process. It will also ensure that no means of adulteration of the specimen will occur.
The Typical Scenario of Off-Site and On-Site testing:
OFF SITE: Employee must leave jobsite. Employee therefore exposes employer to potential liability to both workers comp and civil liability if he/she is in any accident on the way to or from the clinic.
The employee/donor wastes time waiting at the clinic. Employee might be absent from the workplace for 45 minutes - 2 hours or longer and is often still on the clock.
ON-SITE: Employee does not have to leave company site. Employee continues to work until they are notified of their drug test. Employee's can quickly return to their job.
For any post accident that may occur, this will undoubtedly save you time and money on transporting the employee, as well as the supervisor who has to accompanying them, to a facility, not to mention the liability your company has on transporting them. Austin Mobile Drug Testing is a 24-hour service, so no more waiting until the next day when the lab opens! Your employee can be tested immediately following the post accident!
Companies that are designated Drug-Free Workplaces through testing and other programs, may also help their bottom line in other ways. In several states Companies can get discounts on worker's compensation and deny benefits after an accident if an employee tests positive for drug or alcohol abuse. Unemployment benefits, too! Call your insurance agent for discounts for having a DrugFree Workplace policy. This is another savings for you!
For General Workforce Employer's, Austin Mobile Drug Testing uses a 5 and 10 panel drug "Quick Test" with immediate results. However, should a test show a non-negative, it is recommended it be sent to the lab for further testing. (DOT prohibits the use of instant testing and all DOT tests are sent to the laboratory and MRO).
Certified Collector/Breath Alcohol Technician
A Certified Collector/Breath Alcohol Technician is the designated person trained in specimen and breath alcohol collection procedures who ensure that (a) donors are identified correctly, (b) the chain of custody protocol is strictly followed, (c) the donor's dignity is preserved, (d) no sample is adulterated or diluted during collection, and (e) the donors and clients receive the best possible evidentiary collection and testing service.
Pre-Employment Testing
A candidate for employment must pass the drug and/or alcohol test as a condition of employment. Testing can be performed as part of the application process: (a) before an offer is made, (b) as a part of the hiring process after an offer is made but before the employee commences work, or (c) shortly after the individual begins work but continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of the drug and/or alcohol test.
Post Accident Testing
Post Accident testing is when an employee is involved in an on-the-job- accident (vehicular or otherwise) that may have involved human error, may have caused a fatality, serious injury, citation, or property damage.
Random Testing
Random testing means that employees are chosen on a "neutral selection" basis without advance notice. True random testing is conducted by "pooling" a selected amount of numbers, determined by the client, from the total number of qualified participants' numbers in the random pool.
Reasonable Suspicion/Cause Testing
The "cause" required is an objective, factual, individualized basis for testing, such as when an employee's observed behavior or physical appearance suggests drug and/or alcohol use or possession of drugs and/or alcohol. The "suspicion" is documentation of incidents, behavior, appearance, brought to the employee's attention.
Return to Duty/Follow-up Testing
Periodically testing employees who return to work after participating in an alcohol or other drug rehabilitation program. This will help to encourage and ensure that employees remain drug-free after they have completed treatment.
